The Institute for Distance and Distributed Learning (IDDL) at Virginia Tech offers certificates and workshops designed to enhance distance teaching and learning at Virginia Tech. Participants learn distance learning pedagogy, best practices, and tools. Workshops examine course development, delivery considerations, and strategies for teaching distance learning courses via synchronous and asynchronous methods.
- eLearning Brown Bag Lunch Communities
IDDL's distance education-themed brown bag lunch discussions continue to play an active role for sharing experiences and best practices amongst the eLearning faculty learning community. Faculty currently teaching at a distance are invited to participate in discussions about teaching and learning at a distance.
